Premier League giants Manchester United are ready to offer Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro wages comparable to Paul Pogba in order to lure the Brazilian to Old Trafford, according to reports from ESPN FC.
Manchester United have displayed their first signs of weakness this season over the past few matches after looking very unconvincing against the likes of Liverpool, Benfica and most recently Huddersfield Town.
Therefore, it is clear to see that United need to further improve their squad in order to be able to challenge for top honours this season and manager Jose Mourinho is already believed to be scouring the market to reinforce the ranks at Old Trafford.
Signing a new midfielder as a long term replacement for Michael Carrick will be high on the agenda for Mourinho and now according to reports carried out by ESPN FC, claims have been made that the Portuguese boss is plotting to sign Real Madrid star Casemiro.
Casemiro has established himself as one of the most important figures in the dominant Real Madrid side of the last few seasons and having been left very impressed by the Brazilian international, Mourinho is said to be planning to bring him to Old Trafford.
With Madrid valuing Casemiro very highly, signing the 25-year-old will not be an easy task for United but claims are being made that the Red Devils are ready to offer him a wage package that is similar to superstar Paul Pogba’s current terms of around £290,000-per-week and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League giants are able to lure the defensive midfielder away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
