Manchester United offered chance to sign this Champions League winner: Reports

Gareth Bale Real Madrid

Manchester United will reportedly have the chance to sign Gareth Bale at the end of the season. Real Madrid are prepared to part ways with the Wales international, who has been the subject of immense criticism from the club’s supporters.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the European champions will listen to offers for Bale next summer with the likes of Isco and Marco Asensio having established themselves as regulars in the starting lineup.

Bale has been linked with a potential move to Old Trafford since the summer of 2013, and his availability is likely to attract further United interest, although his recent fitness remains a concern.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man has suffered a string of injuries at the Bernabeu since last season, and he is currently recovering from a calf problem, which has seen him miss the recent World Cup qualifiers with Wales.

Jose Mourinho is no doubt a huge admirer of the 28-year-old, and he has previously suggested in August that he would fight to sign the attacker. Bale is currently contracted to Real Madrid until the end of the  2021/2022 season, and Manchester United may have to pay a club-record fee to pursue his services next summer.
