As reported by Football Italia, Manchester United have raised their offer for Ivan Perisic to £47.7million but they are still falling £1.8million short of Inter Milan’s valuation of the player.
Manchester United have finally made a breakthrough in their negotiations with Chelsea for Nemanja Matic and it is now widely believed that the Serbian international will be making a move to Old Trafford for around £40million within the next few days.
Following the arrival of Matic, United boss Jose Mourinho has now focused his attention towards signing a new winger and it is no secret that the Portuguese tactician has placed Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic as his main target.
Much like negotiations with Chelsea over Matic though, United have struggled to agree on a fee with Inter regarding Perisic due to the Italian club’s very high asking price on the 28-year-old.
Now in further development reported by Football Italia, it has been claimed that United have raised their offer for Perisic to around £47.7million recently but Inter are still holding firm on their £49.5million valuation of the Croatian international.
Inter’s strong stance on Perisic may perhaps be due to the fact that the Italian giants know United are able to spend mindboggling amounts in the transfer market and it does look likely that the Red Devils will pay the required £1.8million to land the winger as they seem very desperate at the moment.
