According to Calciomercato, Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is in ‘frequent talks’ with Juventus over a summer move, having struggled for playing time this season. The French international, who has also been linked with Bayern Munich, could be available for £44m.

Martial joined United from AS Monaco in 2015, off the back of being named Golden Boy – Europe’s best young player. The 22-year-old has made 133 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils, but he’s had a bit-part role in the side this season.

Under Jose Mourinho, the youngster has managed just 17 Premier League starts in 2017/18, sharing the position with Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford at times. When he does start for United, Martial is frequently hauled off and reports suggest the Manchester giants are open to selling him.

Juventus have a lot of attacking options, but they may be planning for the future with the signing of Martial, as Gonzalo Higuain and Mario Mandzukic will turn 31 and 32 later this year. With Martial failing to nail down a starting place, he could be open to a move away from Old Trafford.

Whether the 22-year-old wants to switch to the Serie A remains to be seen, however.
