Manchester United planning ambitious swoop for 27-year-old England international

According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Manchester United have reignited their interest in acquiring the services of Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United splashed a whopping £30million to acquire the services of Luke Shaw from Southampton during the summer of 2014 and many felt at the time that the youngster would prove to be the long-term successor to Patrice Evra at Old Trafford.

As it has turned out though, Shaw has not even come remotely close to filling in the void left by Evra and his fitness problems as well as poor attitude is said to have left manager Jose Mourinho very unimpressed.

Due to this fact, Mourinho is currently said to be in the market to sign another left-back and Tottenham Hotspur star Danny Rose has consistently been linked with a move to United over the past few months.

Rose has been out of action for the last six months due to a knee injury though and it was believed that the issue is said to have put off United from making an approach to sign the talented England international this summer.

However in an update from the Daily Mirror, it has been claimed that United are set to revive their interest in signing Rose before the end of the current transfer window as the 27-year-old is set to return to full fitness at the start of September.

It remains to be seen as to whether Tottenham would be ready to part with Rose though and even they if do, United will allegedly have to fight off competition from Inter Milan to sign the ex-Sunderland star.
