According to reports carried out by the Sun, Manchester United are planning a big money swoop for Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller for next season.
Manchester United certainly strengthened their squad this summer with the signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic, and it has to be said that the Red Devils now look like genuine title contenders following the arrival of the quartet.
While it remains to be seen whether or not United do end up winning the Premier League title, reports have claimed that manager Jose Mourinho is already planning for life next season and according to reports from the Sun, the Portuguese boss is currently plotting a move for Thomas Muller.
Muller has consistently been linked with a transfer to United over the years but the move has evidently not materialized till now, as Bayern have been reluctant to sell their prized asset.
However, Muller has struggled at Bayern since the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti last term and it is believed that the Bavarian giants could now be open to parting with the 28-year-old star for the right price.
Even Muller is said to be open to a new challenge after spending his entire career at Bayern and there is a strong possibility that United might just be able to land the German superstar next summer.
