Fourth Signing Near — Man United on verge to Sign 25-year-old

According to reports carried out by the Daily Mirror, Manchester United are set to activate Sergi Roberto’s £36.5million release clause ahead of a summer move.

Manchester United made a stunning start to their Premier League campaign with a 4-0 triumph over West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday and following the game, many fans as well as pundits have placed the Red Devils as favourites to win the Premier League title.

To judge a team’s title credentials after only one game is a bit too premature to say the least though and United still have a long way to go if they are to end their five year trophy drought this season.

Manager Jose Mourinho will be more than aware of this fact and is still looking to further strengthen his already very strong squad before the end of the summer transfer window and one player who has consistently been touted to join the Red Devils is Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto.

Roberto is said to be eyeing up a move away from the Nou Camp following the arrival of Nelson Semedo and United have been seen as a potential destination for the 25-year-old, with defending English champions Chelsea also in the mix.

In a recent development reported by the Daily Mirror, it has now been claimed that United are ready to activate Roberto’s £36.5million release clause at Barcelona and there is now a very strong possibility that the Spanish international will become the Red Devils’ fourth summer signing this summer.
