Man United ‘proposal on table’ to agree deal with Real Madrid for £200k-per-week orchestrator

Toni Kroos

According to Don Balon, Manchester United have ‘put a proposal on the table’ for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.

The German international has been linked with United for many years and manager Jose Mourinho is desperate for a world-class talent to orchestrate in the middle of the park with up to three midfielders potentially leaving the club this summer.

Michael Carrick is retiring as a player to become a coach, Marouane Fellaini is out of contract in a matter of months and Paul Pogba is reportedly being forced out by Mourinho. Kroos would be a much-needed replacement and a stellar one too.

The £200k-per-week star joined Real from Bayern Munich in 2014 and has gone on to make 182 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 655 goals. Kroos has won two Champions Leagues with Real and one La Liga title. He seldom relinquishes possession and would help dominate the midfield if brought to England.

United wanted the German international before he made the switch to Real, but Don Balon believe they have a chance at finally landing their man. Kroos is now said to be ‘evaluating the possibility’ of agreeing the Red Devils’ summer proposal.
