Manchester United are ready to allow young James Wilson to leave the club for Aston Villa during the January transfer window, according to reports from the Daily Express.
James Wilson dramatically announced himself to the Manchester United fans after scoring a wonderful brace during his first ever Premier League start in the 3-1 victory over Hull City back in 2014 and at the time, many tipped the 21-year-old to go on and challenge for a place in the Red Devils first team.
Unfortunately though, Wilson has not been able to deliver on his early promise and this is mainly due to the fact that he has suffered a number of untimely knee injuries which have curtailed his progress as a player.
Wilson returned from his loan spell at Derby County last year following a season ending knee issue and after a long road back to full fitness, the striker finally seems to have recovered completely – having impressed in the Premier League 2 so far this campaign.
Wilson is now expected to go out on another loan deal and according to reports from the Daily Express, it has been claimed that the young striker is wanted by Championship side Aston Villa as they look for a replacement for the injured Jonathan Kodjia.
