Man United need to reinforce their squad in the transfer window, they must also hold on to the current crop of stars and David De Gea is surely one of them.

The Red Devils have been looking to agree a new deal with the the Spanish international and reports suggest that it could finally be sealed.

Transfer: Man United offer £120,000-a-week man to sign £75million star

As per an exclusive report covered by The Sun yesterday, De Gea is set to stay at Old Trafford as Manchester United are ready to agree a massive five year deal (worth £91million) with the goal keeper that will make him earn £350,000-a-week.

De Gea was inconsistent in the last campaign but in front of him, we had an average back-line, which must be strengthened this summer.

I think United fans would absolutely love this news. The 28-year-old La Roja star is arguably the best goalie in the world and keeping him at the club (without Champions League football next season) is going to be a huge achievement.

De Gea has been a star at Old Trafford and in the post-Ferguson era, without doubt, he has been the club’s best player.

The former Atletico Madrid star has won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award more than any one else in Manchester United’s history. He has deservedly won the prize four times in the past six seasons.

At times, he becomes unbeatable and he has single-handedly won us massive encounters. He made 14 saves against Arsenal to help United win at the Emirates (2017-18) and who can forget our win at the Wembley vs Spurs last season. In that contest, the superstar goalie kept a clean sheet by making 11 saves.

In your view, does De Gea deserve a lucrative new deal?
