Manchester United have received a positive update regarding the ankle injury to Romelu Lukaku. The Belgium international asked to be substituted during the second half of United’s league win over Arsenal last weekend and this spread fears over a season-ending injury.
However, after the initial diagnosis, it has been found that the striker could return in a couple of weeks’ time, thereby putting him in line for the FA Cup final against his former club Chelsea.

Lukaku has undoubtedly been United’s standout performer in the centre-forward department and he has gone on to register a career-best tally of 29 goals during the current campaign.
Normally the diagnosis indicates the extent of an injury and as things stand, Lukaku could make his comeback for the Cup final which would make or break United’s second.
Until then, the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have the opportunity to ply their trade upfront and this presents the perfect opportunity for one of the pair to cement a starting spot at Wembley.
Manchester United are currently second in the Premier League standings and they require a further four points from their remaining matches to assure themselves of the runner-up position.
