According to reports from the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are currently planning a swoop for Tottenham Hotspur full-back Danny Rose.
When Manchester United splashed £30million to acquire the services of Luke Shaw from Southampton back in 2014, many felt that the Red Devils had found the ideal heir to the legendary Patrice Evra.
As it has turned out though, Shaw has not been able to feature regularly for United due to a combination of injuries and poor form, and his attitude has also been questioned by manager Jose Mourinho.
Therefore, Shaw might not become the player United hoped and it is believed that Mourinho would be open to signing a new specialist left-back after using the likes of Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo in the position.
Now in surprise reports from the Manchester Evening News, it can be revealed that United will consider a move for Tottenham Hotspur star Danny Rose next summer if Shaw fails to impress once again during the upcoming campaign.
It is doubtful that Mourinho is already planning for the next summer’s transfer window but nonetheless, the signing of Rose would be a good addition as he is arguably one of the best full-backs in the English top flight at the moment.
