Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah is apparently attracting interest from Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer, who has previously watched him progress at Ajax.
Fosu-Mensah has had a fairly quiet career since his cameo appearance against Arsenal in the 3-2 win at Old Trafford back in February 2016.
Both Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho have opted to use Fosu-Mensah on the right side of the defence, although the Dutchman is said to favour a central midfield role.
Crystal Palace have been in constant negotiations with Arsenal over the signing of Callum Chambers, but his £20m price tag has led to De Boer thinking over the move.
According to The Sun, De Boer will enquire over the prospect of taking Fosu-Mensah on loan for the campaign as he plans to play him in his new look three-at-the-back formation.
The Red Devils currently have Matteo Darmian as the only backup to Antonio Valencia for the right wing-back role, and it will be interesting to see whether Mourinho will sanction a temporary deal for the Netherlands Under-21 international.
The 21-year-old has notched 21 appearances across all competitions for Manchester United to date. He still has three years left on his existing deal signed in October 2016.
