Manchester United need to sign proven quality stars to have any chance of challenging Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title next season.
However, if reports in the media are anything to go by, for now, the Red Devils are focusing on their academy and are busy recruiting youngsters.
Transfer: Man United have made contact to sign £52million star – Face competition
Last night, we covered a report (via The Mail) claiming that Man Utd have agreed a fee to sign teenage striker Joe Hugill from Sunderland.
Today, reports in Spain indicate that United are set to agree the signing of another teenage boy in the form of Barca right back Marc Juardo.
According to Sport, the 16-year-old defender has decided to not renew his contract with the Catalan giants and will move to Manchester United for next season.
It is stated that the decision has not gone well with the Spanish champions, who wanted to keep the youngster for the long term, but Old Trafford will be his next destination.
As far as the compensation fee is concerned, the Spanish outlet have mentioned that Barelona expect to get 1.5 million euros (£1.3million) from his departure.
Not much is known about Juardo but we can deduce that he is highly talented based on the fact that two European giants have battled to hire his services. Barcelona were prepared to promote him from the U-17 team to the U-19 team but that is not going to happen now because he will join the ranks of Man United.
