According to reports from the Daily Mirror, an unhappy Romelu Lukaku ripped into his teammates following Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat against Chelsea.
Manchester United’s poor run of form in the Premier League continued after they suffered a very disappointing 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea in a clash contested at Stamford Bridge last Saturday.
None of the Manchester United players particularly performed well during the encounter but the man who came under intense criticism from the fans as well as the media was Romelu Lukaku.
Apart from an effort on goal during the first half, Lukaku’s involvement on the day was largely negligible and it is understandable that the £75million man has been questioned following such an abject performance.
Nonetheless, Lukaku was also not left very pleased with his display on the day and according to reports from the Daily Mirror, the striker slammed his teammates in the dressing room for not providing him with the right service.
Lukaku is perhaps right in feeling aggrieved at not being handed enough chances in front of goal by his teammates but at the same time, the 24-year-old needs to take on some responsibility to create things on his own given his quality as well as huge price tag.
