According to reports carried out by Football London, Manchester United are currently said to be eyeing up a swoop for England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently in the final year of his contract at Arsenal and with the attacker delaying talks of an extension with the Gunners, a host of clubs have now expressed their desire to sign the 24-year-old.
Defending Premier League champions Chelsea have been mentioned as the team with the keenest of interest in Oxlade-Chamberlain but now in reports carried out by Football London, revelations can be made that even Manchester United are set to join in the race.
United boss Jose Mourinho is clearly in the market to sign an attacking player but with his pursuit for Ivan Perisic and Gareth Bale having failed this summer, the Portuguese manager is said to have focused his attention elsewhere and now Oxlade-Chamberlain has emerged on his radar.
Arsenal are adamant that they do not want to sell the former Southampton star this summer but with him having only a year remaining at the Emirates, a bid of around £35million could see United land another quality player from their rivals following Robin van Persie’s famous move to Old Trafford back in 2012.
