According to reports from the Metro, Arsenal will allow Mesut Ozil to join Manchester United for a fee of around just £30million.
Mesut Ozil’s contract at Arsenal is set to expire at the end of the current campaign and with the playmaker not willing to commit himself to a new deal, the Gunners could be forced into selling their prized asset during the upcoming January transfer window in order to avoid losing him for free.
Manchester United have shown a keen interest in acquiring the services of Ozil in recent times and United boss Jose Mourinho is said to be looking to reunite with the German international following their flourishing relationship at former club Real Madrid.
In a further development to the story, the Metro have now gone on to reveal that Arsenal have conceded the fact that they will lose Ozil this winter and are now ready to sell the 29-year-old to United for a fee of around £30million.
Ozil has had his critics during his time in the Premier League so far but if Mourinho is able to get the attacker to play like he used to at Real Madrid, a potential £30million swoop could prove to be a bargain in the end.
