Manchester United’s in-form midfielder called up to the national team

Scott McTominay

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has been selected for the Scotland national team by head coach Alex McLeish, reports The Sun. The 21-year-old is one of nine uncapped players named in the squad to face Costa Rica and Hungary in friendlies later this month.

McTominay has been in fine form for United this season, keeping Paul Pogba out of the side for a brief period. The deep-lying midfielder has made eight Premier League appearances, while also featuring four times in the Champions League, twice in the FA Cup and three times in the EFL Cup.
