Manchester United’s third choice shot-stopper Joel Pereira is reportedly attracting interest from clubs from La Liga and the Serie A this summer.
The 21-year-old has been with the club since the summer of 2012, and he managed to make his Premier League debut during the 2016/17 season against Crystal Palace.
Pereira has since not started a single game for United in any competition and his sole appearance last term came as a substitute in a 4-1 League Cup triumph over Benfica in September.
According to ESPN, Pereira is now attracting widespread interest with Real Sociedad, Sevilla, Real Betis, Torino, Atalanta and Fiorentina, all said to have made enquiries regarding his availability.
Pereira is currently plying back-up to two outstanding goalkeepers in the form of David de Gea and Sergio Romero and he would no doubt want a fresh challenge, should he not be assured of regular gametime.
Nevertheless, the future of Romero remains uncertain beyond the summer and his potential departure could witness Pereira become the deputy to De Gea ahead of the 2018/19 season.
United boss Jose Mourinho has previously suggested that Pereira could become one of the best Portuguese goalkeepers of his generation and a potential exit for the keeper may only be temporary.
