England international Marcus Rashford is reportedly considering his future at Manchester United amid his reduced playing time under Jose Mourinho. The 20-year-old has struggled to command a regular role since the turn of the year with just a solitary start in the Premier League.
According to The Mirror, the attacker was disappointed after being left out of the starting lineup versus Manchester City last weekend, and he is now said to be weighing up his future.
Rashford started as the preferred choice on the left-wing during the initial part of the campaign, but as the season has gone on, he has found opportunities hard to come by with Alexis Sanchez adding to the competition.
As a result, speculation of him leaving the club has emerged, but it would be a huge shock it such a situation arises in the upcoming transfer window.
Rashford has unquestionably been United’s best young performer over the past 24 months, and rumours about him leaving Old Trafford appear baseless at this point of time.
The Englishman is currently in a position where he has competition for places, but judging by Rashford’s progress, he is more than capable of winning over Mourinho.
Rashford has been a regular off the bench of late, but his only Premier League start of 2018 remains one to remember as he bagged a quick-fire brace against Liverpool in a 2-1 win.
