Midfielder has finally agreed pre-contract to sign for Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United have been linked with Norwegian youngster Isak Hansen-Aaroen for quite some time and the latest reports are very positive for the Red Devils.

Back in October 2018, when Mourinho was in charge at Old Trafford, United were considered favorites to sign the teenager (The Sun).

Then, earlier this year, reports in Norway (Bergens Tidende – Aftenposten) also suggested that Man United are in pole position to sign the 14-year-old boy, who likes the club and wants to play for them. It was further mentioned that a pre-contract could be agreed since the player is not allowed to sign a professional deal until he is 16.

Now, as per the latest update provided by TV2 in Norway, Man Utd have finally agreed a pre-contract with Hansen-Aaroen, who must wait 15 more months before moving to Old Trafford.

As reported by The Mail in January, the youngster is a central midfielder with good technique and an excellent passer of the ball. Moreover, he is understood to be represented by Solskjaer’s agent Jim Solbakken.

Opinion:

In all fairness, I myself heard about the player in January and have only seen a few Youtube videos of him playing.

I have observed that the teenager mainly plays in the center of the park, can effectively run with the ball and control it well at the same time. Moreover, he likes to move into attacking positions as well.

Still, one cannot judge just from the videos online but the fact (The Mail) that even the likes of Liverpool and Everton wanted him is enough to assure that the boy has got serious talent.

Anyways, Hansen-Aaroen is one for the future. For now, Solskjaer must focus on reinforcing our current midfield setup in the summer transfer window.
