The famous British media outlet have mentioned that the deal would be a serious blow for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp, who are looking to bolster things in the center of the park for the next campaign.
Man Utd have not agreed a fee as yet but Erik ten Hag is pressing the club to get the deal done.
Not so long ago, Liverpool were considered favorites (The Star via Paisley Gates) to sign Mount, who will be out of contract next year and could cost £50m.
The Three Lions star is a versatile talent, who can play on either flank, as a central attacking midfielder and even as a creative central midfielder.
At the moment, our main CAM is Bruno Fernandes, who is irreplaceable in the starting XI. The first choice left winger is Player of the Season, Marcus Rashford.
On the other hand, stars like Sancho and Antony are there to feature on the right flank, whereas, Greenwood’s future is still uncertain.
As far as the central midfield is concerned, Casemiro and Eriksen have been brilliant under the Dutch boss. So, it will be intriguing to see where Ten Hag will utilize Mount if he ends up luring him.
