Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be available for selection in January.
Manchester United recently confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has re-signed with the club for the rest of the season and the news has certainly been welcomed by the Red Devils’ faithful.
Despite the signing though, it is unclear as to when Ibrahimovic will be available for United as he is currently nursing himself back from injury and there has been no timeline set for the Swedish superstar’s return.
Now United boss Jose Mourinho has gone on to speak about when the 35-year-old will be available for selection and confirmed that he will be making a return to the pitch by January.
Mourinho told BT Sport following his side’s 2-0 Premier League win over Leicester City, “He will be back in January. When the market is open and people are spending money, we don’t. But we get a player who was fundamental for us last season. He comes to give us extra quality in the second half of the season.”
According to Metro the player will earn £125,000-a-week, after taking a pay cut of £225,000-a-week to rejoin Manchester United.
The Red Devils are currently doing very well but with the fixtures set to pile up in the winter; Ibrahimovic’s return to the pitch will come just in time for the Premier League giants to successfully navigate through the punishing challenges in the league as well as in Europe.
