Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has once again expressed his desire to sign one more player this summer.
Manchester United have made a huge impact in the current transfer window by acquiring the services of quality players such as Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof, and the Red Devils have spent close to £150million to sign the trio.
Despite such a huge outlay though, United have been linked with a host of players such as Ivan Perisic, Gareth Bale and Thomas Lemar over the past few weeks and manager Jose Mourinho had sparked further speculation by stating that he was looking to recruit a fourth signing.
Now with just days remaining before the window slams shut, Mourinho has once again stated that he is keen on a fourth arrival at Old Trafford this summer but insisted that he will not be displeased if the club does not sign anyone in the coming days.
Mourinho said, “Everyone knows I would like a fourth player and I cannot hide that because I had that in my mind. But I am happy if I am not going to have that and I don’t think I am going to have that.
“I was the first to tell my board not to feel any kind of pressure from me in that respect. Probably next summer, I will have to try and get a player from a position I think can make us stronger.”
The likes of Bale, Lemar and Rento Sanches still remain possible signings for United and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League giants bring in anyone to Old Trafford in the coming days.
