Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is planning to recall Andreas Pereira from his loan spell at Valencia, according to reports from the Daily Star.
Andreas Pereira featured prominently for Manchester United during their pre-season tour of the United States and it was believed at the time that the Brazilian attacker would be competing for a place in the Red Devils’ first team during the current campaign.
However, Pereira made a decision that he wanted to leave United on loan in order to get regular first team football and the 21-year-old eventually made a move to Spanish La Liga outfit Valencia over the summer.
United boss Jose Mourinho was not overly impressed with the fact that Pereira wanted to depart from Old Trafford rather than fight for his place in the squad but as it has turned out, the move to Valencia has been justified for the youngster.
Having enjoyed a stunning season so far, Valencia are currently occupying 2nd place in the La Liga table and Pereira has made some important contribution in Los Che’s success.
Mourinho seems to have been left impressed with Pereira’s exploits in Spain and according to reports from the Daily Star; the Portuguese tactician is now looking to recall the ex-PSV Eindhoven man from his loan spell at Valencia during the January transfer window.
Despite United’s good start to the season, Mourinho seems to be aware of the fact that title rivals Manchester City are ahead of the Red Devils in terms of overall squad quality and as a result, he will be looking to strengthen his ranks by bringing back Pereira this winter.
