£83.6million star wants to secure Manchester United move – Report

Lyon and France striker Moussa Dembele

Moussa Dembele has been linked with a move away from Lyon for quite some time and Manchester United remain interested in hiring his services.

According to Sky Sports, the French striker was not allowed to leave in January because Lyon were dealing with numerous injury concerns and also have Champions League to deal with.

Transfer: Report – Solskjaer determined to sign £80million playmaker for Man United in summer

The renowned British outlet have mentioned that Dembele is wanted by several European clubs but the 100 million euros rated forward (£83.6million) wants to secure a move to Manchester United. The situation for him would be ideal if the Red Devils end up qualifying for the next season’s Champions League.

We finished 6th in the Premier League last term and failed to qualify for the Europe’s elite competition. As far as the current campaign is concerned, after 26 games, we are 7th in the table but just 3 points behind Chelsea, who currently occupy the final CL qualification spot.

It must be remembered that Manchester City have been banned from European Football for the next two seasons and if the Sky Blues finish in the top four and fail to win their appeal against UEFA then even 5th place in the Premier League could play in the Champions League.

We defeated Chelsea in the last PL game and next up, Solskajer’s men will collide vs relegation threatened Watford at Old Traffrd.

As far as our strike-force is concerned, Ighalo is a short term fix and United should splash the cash to sign a proven quality striker to finally replace Romelu Lukaku, who was sold last summer.

Kavel Solhekol (Sky Sports) has stated that Man Utd will lure a striker in the summer. In your view, should the Old Trafford club sign Moussa Dembele, who had successful spells with Fulham and Celtic and has netted 19 goals in all competitions for Lyon this term.

  1. Sancho is not a striker. Although I agree that he might be our target but we still need a proper striker.
