Manchester United are focusing on key off-field recruitments before they can reinforce the squad for the next campaign.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Man Utd are close to hiring a new technical director in the form of Jason Wilcox and have already agreed terms of a contract with him.

The famous Italian journalist told GiveMeSport:
“He (Jason Wilcox) has an agreement with United over a contract, so now it’s just about an agreement with Southampton. He looks like he’ll be really important for United’s present and future as he knows how to manage young talents really well.”
United have a new CEO in the form of Omar Berrada, they have agreed terms to sign Dan Ashworth as the new sporting director.
Now, they are even close to landing Wilcox as the new technical director. Once the key appointments are done, the Old Trafford outfit will focus on revamping the squad.
As per the today’s version of The Mirror, one of the main objectives of the new team is ridding the squad of the dead wood that have been average this season.
According to the British source, twelve players could be offloaded in the summer transfer window and the are some big names on the list.
It is stated that United could get rid of the likes of Sancho, Greenwood, Lindelof, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Casemiro, McTominay, Mount, Eriksen, Antony, Martial and Rashford.
In all fairness, Man Utd should also look for a talented new manager as Ten Hag and majority of his signings have failed at Old Trafford. What do you think?
