If reports in Portugal are anything to go by then Manchester United are getting closer and closer to meeting Sporting CP’s demands in order to sign Bruno Fernandes this month.
According to Record, Man United have offered 55 million euros for the Seleccao star but the Lions are looking at a figure of 70 million euros to sell their skipper.
The Portuguese source is not sure whether the player would feature tonight against Maritimo or not.
However, Correio da Manhã are positive and claim that the move should be sealed in the next few days.
The leading source of Portugal have reported that the Red Devils have offered a deal worth 65 million euros (55 million fixed and 10 million in add-ons) and at this point, just 5 million euros are separating an agreement between the two clubs.
Sporting president, Varandas, believes that Man Utd will reach the 70 million euros mark (60 million fixed + 10 million in add-ons) and the signing of Fernandes should be secured in the next few days. CdM have further stated that the negotiations are expected to intensify today and the player might make his last appearance for the Primeira Liga club tonight.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has already netted 15 goals this term but he was unable to score in the last two games and Sporting lost those contests.
May be, the former Sampdoria attacker’s form dipped because he has been thinking about Manchester United. Recent reports have already suggested that he is in a hurry (Record via Sport Witness) to move to Old Trafford.
The 19-capped international has shown top form for the Lions in the past 18 months and United badly need a star like him. The winter transfer window will be closed on Friday. Will Man Utd be able to sign Bruno Fernandes before deadline? We shall see.
