Manchester United are strongly linked with young Spanish defender, Adrian Corral, and his move to Old Trafford is reportedly close.

According to Super Desporte, the teenage defender, who can play as a left back and also as a left -sided center half, has announced that he will leave Villareal when he turns 16 and everything points that he will move to the Red Devils.

The Spanish source have stated that Man Utd could have signed the youngster. A very similar claim has been made by Sport as well. The renowned Spanish outlet have stated that Manchester United are taking a ‘pearl’ of Villareal, who has also received offers from Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Transfer: Report – Man Utd have moved in to sign £240,000-a-week star

Sir Alex Ferguson regularly used to hand first-team opportunities to youngsters and that is how our club excelled under the legendary manager.

However, this was never the case under Jose Mourinho, who splashed a lot of cash to sign proven quality players but still failed to improve the team.

The good thing is that Solskjaer is trusting the youth, he has preferred Rashford over Lukaku in the starting lineup and has given game time to youngsters like McTominay, Pereira, Gomes and Dalot etc.

As far as Corral is concerned, he is still very young and we have not seen him play. Still, the fact that Sport have described him as a ‘Pearl’ and that even Liverpool have been after his signature is enough to realize that the lad has talent and potential.

It will be intriguing to see how he grows if he does end up agreeing a deal with Man Utd.
