Nani has urged his new club Fenerbahce to push ahead with the signing of Robin Van Persie.
Reports over the weekend had stated that the Turkish side had agreed terms with the Dutch striker and were now waiting to agree a fee with United although Van Persie’s agent later came out and denied these rumours.
Van Persie reported for training at Carrington this morning as expected but it is still expected that the striker will leave United this summer after joining for £24m in the summer of 2012 and Nani is hoping to link up with his former teammate in Turkey at new club Fenerbahce.
Speaking after signing for the Canaries, the 28 year old winger said:
“I haven’t had the chance to talk with Robin van Persie yet but if he comes to Fenerbahce, I am sure that he will be very successful.
“I know Robin very well and it would be the right decision if Fenerbahce sign him.
“I am very happy and proud to be part of Fenerbahce. I have no doubts that I made the right decision to come here. I will give my all for his club.”
