Manchester United fans have showered Scott McTominay with praise after the midfielder once again put in an impressive performance during the Red Devils’ 2-0 victory over Benfica.
Manchester United edged closer to sealing their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League by claiming a 2-0 victory over Benfica at Old Trafford on Tuesday night and the performance from the Red Devils during the encounter was solid but unspectacular.
The player who perhaps best epitomized United’s performance on the night was midfielder Scott McTominay as he put in another mature display at the middle of the park for the first team on his debut in the Champions League.
Manchester United fans were left impressed with McTominay’s display during the encounter and many took to Twitter to hail the youngster, with one supporter even comparing him to the legendary Roy Keane.

Manchester United need a new ‘Roy Keane’ to win a treble. I hope McTominay develops to be just that.

Thought Scott McTominay was assured in Manchester United’s midfield. Didn’t need to set the world alight, but did his job effectively.
