In the goal, Dean Henderson should get the nod to make his first team debut for the club after a brilliant campaign on loan with Sheffield United last term. The youngster recently penned a new deal and will be hoping to keep a clean sheet.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka should return to the starting lineup and he could replace Fosu-Mensah to feature in the right back role.

Eric Bailly may return to partner Harry Maguire in the central defense. On the other hand, young Brandon Williams should replace Luke Shaw in the left back position.

In the center of the park, Brazilian midfielder Fred and Serbian play breaker Nemanja Matic could get the nod to start.

Van de Beek scored the only goal of the game vs Palace and the Dutch international might play in the central attacking midfield role in place of Bruno Fernandes.

Mason Greenwood should return to start on the right wing and Daniel James may move to play on the left flank. Up front, Odion Ighalo should replace Anthony Martial to feature as the lone center forward.

  1. Even this selection could have won comfortably against Crystal Palace.
James play better as number 11 than 7.
Even with the current crop of players, a good manager could do better than Ole who plays with names, one style and is afraid to substitute the big boys even when they are under performing. He must sit up and stamp in his authority and stop disgracing our great team.
Getting competent strikers irrespective of age will prove effective.
