Michael Olise was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the winter transfer window and the French attacker is once again in the focus.
Last month, reports indicate that the Crystal Palace star, who has a clause of £60m, prefers to join the Red Devils over Chelsea.
Transfer: Man Utd ready to agree signing of £260,000 a week star – Report
More recently, Ben Jacobs has confirmed that Man Utd are interested in luring the 22-year-old winger, who is tempted to finally secure a move to Old Trafford.
The renowned journalist told GiveMeSport:
“Manchester United’s old regime, before INEOS, really like Olise and he is tempted by the prospect of a move to Old Trafford as well.”
“All indications are that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS will endorse that move because, as part of their due diligence when coming into the football club, they were aware of any historical transfer plans that were for January – even though nothing materialised – and also any window planning for the summer.”
In the current campaign, so far, Olise has started eight games in the Premier League for the Eagles and directly contributed in nine goals (six goals and three assists).
However, it must be taken into consideration that the former Reading attacker has been highly injury prone.
He missed majority of the first half of the campaign due to a hamstring problem, suffered another injury in December against Brentford and last month in the contest vs Brighton. Currently, he is still on the treatment table.
Man Utd do need to offload Antony but in all fairness, they must not sign an injury prone star to replace the Brazilian.
In your opinion, should Man Utd splash the cash to sign Olise in the summer transfer window?
