Having confirmed the departure of club legend, David De Gea, Manchester United must sign a top goalie and they are closing in to lure Andre Onana.
As per reports going on in the media, the agreement over personal terms is complete but the fee with Inter Milan still needs to be sorted.
Transfer: Man Utd close to signing £73.5million forward, club wants replacement
A few hours ago, Alfredo Pedulla revealed Onana has chosen Man United and agreed a deal with the Red Devils which will make him earn 7 million euros per season i.e. around £115,000-a-week.
As far as the asking fee is concerned, it is stated that Man Utd have to pay close to 60 million euros (inclusive of add-ons) to convince the Nerazzurri to sell.
In the next few hours, Man Utd are expected to accelerate to seal the signing.
At the same time, Inter have chosen Sommer and Trubin to reinforce the goal keeping department but first they want to finalize the transfer of Onana to Old Trafford.
Former United striker, Saha, thinks the ex Ajax man would be fit perfectly in Ten Hag’s system. He stated:
“I’m certain he’s going to be a perfect fit as he was able to play in a very strictly structured Inter Milan team and was still able to revolutionize the squad with his forward-thinking, so I have no doubt that he’s going to do the same at Manchester United.”
La Gazzetta Dello Sport also state (today) that Swiss international, Sommer, is the number one choice to replace the Cameroonian shot stopper at the San Siro.
The renowned media outlet claim Onana is going to be missed by everyone at Inter. The 27-year-old could end up completing his move to Man Utd tomorrow.
