Old-Trafford

Manchester United are closing in to sign Andre Onana but both the goal keeper and Inter Milan are playing hard ball with the Red Devils.

Yesterday, we covered story via Corriere dello Sport claiming that the Cameroonian star has agreed a five-year contract worth over £25.6million with the Old Trafford club.

However, there is no agreement, now the player is prepared to agree a five-year deal worth £30m to join Man Utd in the summer transfer window.

As per today’s version of CdS (news image provided below), Man Utd offered a contract of 6 million euros per year to the African star.

Now, the player, who earns around 3.5 million euros per year, has raised the demand to earn 7 million euros per year (35 million euros until 2028).

Therefore, it is reported that there will be another day of further ‘discussions and negotiations’ but United intend to reach an agreement.

CorSport claim Inter continue to demand 60 million euros but if Man Utd offer more than 50 million euros fixed plus bonuses, then the deal will be secured.

In ‘a matter of days’ the 20-time English champions should be able to complete both the agreements with the Nerazzurri and Onana to get the deal over the line.

This is not the first time a club is playing hard ball with Man Utd. Ten Hag’s team needed four bids to secure an agreement for Mason Mount.

Now, they have had multiple bids rejected for Onana and will likely pay up to finally get his signing done.
