Papped: United midfielder in hospital

Jesse Lingard was whisked to Bridgewater Hospital in Manchester on Monday to assess the extent of the injury to his right knee after after suffering, what looks to be ligament damage, after going into a challenge with Swansea City’s Ashley Williams during the first half at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Lingard was a surprise inclusion into Louis van Gaal’s first Premier League squad at Old Trafford, linking in as wing back. His league debut only lasted 20-minutes until being replaced by new number 11, Adnan Januzaj.

As you can see from the picture above, Lingard’s right knee is heavily bandaged up, with a leg brace also.

Manchester United or representatives of Jesse Lingard have yet to release the severity of the injury, but no doubt it looks like he will be facing a lengthy time on the sidelines.

  1. The boy has no clue about the real football, so also injured. All youths United little worth, they should be put on loan to lower competition.

  2. Its a little bit of a disrespectful to Jesse when u said he had know clue and as well, insult to united academy as a whole. On a personal note,I’m very happy for him to finally get his debut but unfortunately,it didn’t went his way. Wish him quick recovery
