PICTURE: Daley Blind Completes Manchester United Medical

After Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor, Manchester United’s attention has moved to the final hours of this summers transfer window and the next arrivals into Old Trafford, one that already has been confirmed is that of Daley Blind from Ajax.

After the Burnley match on Saturday, Daley Blind flew into Manchester airport to be met by Manchester United’s security staff to then be whisked straight off to Bridgewater Hospital to have a medical to asses his fitness and confirm all the paper-work before his move to United could be complete, as ever the Daily Mail were on hand to provide coverage of the player arriving for his medical, as seen below.

The fee in which Manchester United have agreed is that of £13.8million, looking at the money that goes around for players nowadays this is a fantastic value for the Netherlands International who is said to be bringing an air of calm to United’s defence or in midfield.

The pictures below are from Saturday afternoon at Bridgewater Hospital in Manchester, no doubt he will be meeting with Louis van Gaal today, also to complete personal terms ahead of unveiling on Monday before the transfer window shuts.

  1. We the fans are happy for this player as we have problems defensively and also midfield

  2. we as a fans i op we dnt opt da major power to settle Man United’s current fail but am sure with diz players if only to be manage in 4-4-2 system we wil get bwak to da known MANCHESTER UNITED…..foger of any ada Superiority in Clubs but United is Naturally a great team with great staffs nd wit fantastic Manager Sir Louis Van Gaal we are holding ur flags Up……

  3. I must see Kevin strooman,Arturo Vidal, or William Cavalho before transfer window shutdown

  4. Man u major problem is midfield, they don’t have good midfielder, they need Atleast two good midfielder and two defenders, 5&6 at the back. The formation they are playing need only experience defender not just defender, I am sick and tired of this problem, other clubs were busy buying player man u are waiting on deadline day.

  5. is obvious dat van gaal is creating out of insurgency, a player of vidaL calliber is worth more dan wat LVG thinks, i think we should jst splash d cash on vidal approximately 43million pds. we fans love to see vidal or cavallho

  6. Blind is a quality player, and good addition to the club. Van Gaal stated clearly that he is determine to build his squad from the ground up and leave no stone unturned in the process. This means that he is going to part ways with underperformed and fringe players and then recruit well skilled tallented players, so that united would be up again to its permanent level. I hope United would not repeat the mistake of not recruiting for so long or recruiting vague players.

  7. pls our manager should sign colombian star from inter for us today n wait for srootman in january.

  8. Daley is xtra ordinary,can’t wait 2 c him.bt d midfield is stil lacking,hw abt De Jong?

  9. To me, Blind is nt a bad player bt nt as good as De Vrij,,, he is weak,,,,nt sharp and slow with the ball,,,,,nt the signing Man U needed at the moment,,,,,,,,go 4 De Jong, or Carvalho or Vidal to add strength to midfield in w/c u hve Fletcher, Carick and Cleverly who are weak and slow,,,,then go 4 Vlaar, or Varane or De Vrij (already off) to boost central deffence after Rojo. Yes United have bought,,,,bt nt the players we wanted,,,,suffering may continue even this season 4 as long u stil have sloppy and “mistake men” Evanz and Smalling in central defence. let us b patient,,,we may wait 4 another year or 2 to play CL.
