Anthony Martial has been named as Manchester United’s Player of the Month for September following his impressive showing against the likes of Burton Albion and CSKA Moscow. The 21-year-old proved a constant menace to the Burton backline in a 4-1 League Cup triumph in the third round while he followed it up with a flawless performance against CSKA. He was adjudged the man of the match in both of those games.
Like always, the club’s supporters get the right to choose the Player of the Month, and Martial secured the accolade with 41 per cent vote share, much higher than the likes of Romelu Lukaku (31 per cent), Marouane Fellaini (20 per cent) and Marcus Rashford(8 per cent).
