Tottenham boss willing to sign for Manchester United

Pochettino Spurs

Jose Mourinho was sacked yesterday and Manchester United are now searching for their fourth boss since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013.

The Red Devils are 19 points behind league leaders Liverpool and 11 points behind Chelsea, who are currently fourth in the table.

Woodward needs to sign a top class manager, someone, who could serve the club for long term and bring glory days back.

According to a report exclusively covered by The Daily Star, Woodward is convinced that Tottenham boss, Mauricio Pochettino, can turn things around at United and is willing to make him the highest paid manager in the world.

The Star have further revealed that the former Southampton boss is willing to leave the north Londoners to sign for Manchester United and this news should delight every United supporter.

Pochettino joined Spurs back in 2014 and in the past three seasons, he has helped the club finish in the Top 3. Before his arrival, Spurs had only manged to qualify for the Champions League on two occasions since the competition’s inception.

The 46-year-old signed a five-year deal with Spurs in the summer and Daniel Levy will do whatever possible to hold on to him.

It is likely that the new coach will have to manage his first season at Old Trafford without competing in Europe’s elite competition. Still, the idea of managing the biggest club in the country and becoming the highest paid coach in the world should be very tempting for anyone.

For now, as per The Star, United are poised to appoint former striker Ole
Gunnar Solskjaer as the interim boss until the end of the campaign. We can only hope that the legendary man will immediately improve results and help the team qualify for the next season’s Champions League.
