McTominay and Pogba start, 4-3-3: Alternate Man United lineup vs Newcastle United

Manchester United will look to secure back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they make the trip north to face Newcastle United at St James Park. The Red Devils clinched a comfortable 4-0 win over the Magpies in the reverse fixture and Jose Mourinho will be eyeing a strong performance to maintain the pressure on the table-toppers.

Formation: 4-3-3

Lineup:

David de Gea pushed clear in the Golden Glove race with his 15th clean sheet versus Huddersfield Town, and he will be aiming to continue his fine form in front of goal versus the Magpies. In defence, Mourinho may not opt to change his winning combination, and therefore, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo  are likely continue in central defence with Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw occupying the full-back positions.

Scott McTominay was a surprise pick ahead of Paul Pogba in the previous outing, and we are fancying the young midfielder to keep his position, though in a changed formation. McTominay and Nemanja Matic could keep their places from the previous outing, but we are predicting Pogba to feature on the left side of a three-man midfield.

Moving forward, Alexis Sanchez is pretty much a certainty to start on the left side of the attack, and we are anticipating Juan Mata to play on the other flank, with Romelu Lukaku leading the line. Mata proved his worth with a brilliant assist in the 2-0 triumph over Huddersfield, and he may get the nod over Anthony Martial, who is not entirely comfortable on the right wing.
