According to reports, Manchester United veteran Michael Carrick could end his stay at Old Trafford during the upcoming January transfer window.
Michael Carrick has enjoyed a glorious career since joining Manchester United from Tottenham Hotspur back in the summer of 2006 and the Englishman will surely go down in history as one of the Red Devils’ greatest ever midfielders due to his wonderful achievements.
At 36, Carrick is no longer the player he once was though and the veteran has not featured even once in the Premier League during the current campaign for United, meaning that he is clearly surplus to requirements at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho.
While it was well established that Carrick would be leaving United at the end of the current campaign, there have now been claims that the former West Ham United star could be departing from Old Trafford as early as during the upcoming January transfer window.
West Bromwich Albion are said to be keen on acquiring the services of Carrick this winter and if the two parties can agree on a viable solution, the club legend could well be heading for an exit from United in two months’ time.
