In the center of the park, Man Utd must sign a top class play breaker and the name of Manuel Ugarte is consistently in the focus.
The Uruguayan international was left out of the squad in Paris Saint-Germain’s opening Ligue 1 match of the new campaign against Le Havre.
On the other hand, his replacement, Joao Neves, was in the team and made his debut for the French champions after coming on as a substitute.
As per today’s edition of MEN, Ugarte has always been Man Utd’s primary target to reinforce the DM position.
The arrival of Neves has increased expectations that the 23-year-old midfielder will depart and PSG are ‘under some pressure’.
The South American star is pressing to move to Old Trafford and talks between the two clubs are set to continue. MEN state Casemiro and Eriksen could still leave the Red Devils this month.
According to a report published by Marca this morning, Ugarte was left out of the PSG squad and ‘everything points’ he will end up signing for Man Utd before the transfer deadline ends on 30th August.
The two clubs are willing reach an agreement for the transfer of the holding midfield star, but the Parisians should drop their high asking price of £59m.
Man Utd face Brighton away from home next weekend and would surely love to have Ugarte secured before the fixture.
