According to reports from the Metro, Manchester United will be able to acquire the services of Gareth Bale for around only £62million next summer.
Manchester United being linked with a move for Gareth Bale is a common theme during every summer transfer window but it genuinely seemed like the Red Devils would finally be able to sign the Welshman before the start to the current campaign.
Real Madrid had strongly been touted to make a move for Kylian Mbappe from Monaco over the summer and in turn, it was believed that Los Blancos would allow Bale to leave for United for a fee of around £100million, with Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho keen on signing the attacker. However, Mbappe moved to PSG instead and as a result, Madrid decided to keep hold of Bale.
While not selling Bale seemed to be the logical move on the part of the defending European Champions at the time, the 28-year-old has hardly featured at all this season due to numerous injury problems and it has been alleged that the Spaniards are willing to finally offload the ex-Tottenham star.
Now in a development to the story, the Metro have claimed that Madrid have significantly lowered their asking price for Bale to around just £62million and Manchester United will be able to sign the Welsh wizard for a ‘cut-price’ – considering what was quoted for him just a few months ago.
