Report – Rangnick pressing to seal £33million signing with fee already sorted

Amadou Haidara - Mali midfielder

Manchester United were able to earn all three points against Brentford but in all fairness, before getting ahead, they were absolutely dominated by the Bees for 54 minutes and De Gea was the savior for us.

Rangnick’s team has not impressed as yet but the major dilemma is that the interim boss has not been allowed to sign the players required to implement his style of play.

News – Man Utd lead to agree signing of £58.5million creative star – Report

According to Sport Bild (via Sport Witness), the German manager has chosen Amadou Haidara as his priority target and he is pressing Man Utd to seal his signing in the January transfer window.

However, the renowned media outlet have mentioned that Rangnick will work as a consultant after the end of the campaign and for now, he is not allowed to secure stars before offloading costly players from the club.

It is further stated that the bosses at Old Trafford consider the ex Leipzig manager an interim solution, therefore, they are not supporting him to implement the pressing style of football because the permanent manager to follow might want to utilize a completely different system.

A similar story was covered by Mirror Sport last weekend. The British source revealed that Rangnick has verbally agreed a fee of £33million with Leipzig to sign Haidara but Man Utd’s reluctance to back the manager has been the stumbling block.

The 23-year-old is currently on international duty with Mali, who have booked their place in the knock-out stages of the AFCON after tonight’s fixture vs Mauritania.

Have your say – Should Man Utd back Rangnick and seal the transfer of Amadou Haidara?

  1. Honestly speaking at some point I feel like the Man united bosses do this intentionally to fail the team if a manager is giving his all and trying to get the team to winning ways it’s only right that his supported in the ways he sees fit if his system fails then put the blame on me but this crap of assuming boss in everything them why dont they come down to the field and run the team themselves probably they think it’s an easy task, Man united board neee to style up big time otherwise their failing the team themselves and blaming it on managers.

  2. That is why Man Utd will always fail to win anything because they are keeping players who are average. they need to clear out all the deadwood
