Manchester United have the opportunity to cement the second position further when they entertain Arsenal this weekend. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is due to make multiple changes to his squad with a view to the club’s Europa League semi-final tie and this should play into United’s hands.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Lineup:
David de Gea picked up his 17 clean sheet of the campaign earlier this month, and he is now in a straight fight with Manchester City’s Ederson for the Golden Glove accolade. The Spaniard is certain to start in goal.
In defence, Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young are strong contenders to keep their position on the right and left side of the defence but Jose Mourinho may perhaps thick of changing things around in the central defensive department.
Phil Jones and Chris Smalling produced an impressive performance during the recent FA Cup semi-final win but this could be a game where Victor Lindelof may replace the former at the heart of the backline.
With a two-man midfield, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba should automatically pick themselves and this would leave Ander Herrera on the bench to promote an additional attacker.
Arsenal have failed to secure a single point on their travels in 2018 and with this in mind, we are fancying Mourinho to unleash both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial from the starting lineup.
Obviously, Martial should start in his preferred left-wing role with Rashford on the right whilst we are backing Alexis Sanchez to feature in the number 10 position behind Romelu Lukaku.
