Manchester United are in their new era under Ruben Amorim and after a mixed start to the new campaign, a win over arch city rivals Manchester City has been the moment when it feels like the Portuguese tactician has truly arrived.
However, fans – it must be said, have witnessed many such false starts in recent seasons. They will be hoping that this one is not like that and that Amorim can actually look to build on and try and channelize this momentum.

Amorim though will know that apart from getting the best out of the current squad, he will also have to reinforce the squad in the transfer market.
Now, as per Caught Offside, there’s a real chance to Man Utd could move to secure the signing of Xavi Simons.
Simons is one of the most talented young playmakers coming through the ranks and he is currently out on loan but still contracted with PSG.
In twenty two games across all competitions this season, he has scored six goals and provided four assists.
The Dutchman is said to have a valuation of around £66.5m. He is versatile and can play anywhere across the front three. He has a very good shot on him and the inside forward perfectly suits his strengths and masks his weakness.
He had a decent Euros campaign in the summer with the Netherlands. Although the Dutch side didn’t go on to win the tournament, they gave a very good account of themselves and the same can be said about the 21-year-old.
If Man Utd sign Xavi Simons, it would be an exceptional signing from the club. Let’s wait and see how things play out for the Dutch midfielder going forward.
