Real Madrid to sell £100 million for Manchester United target

Real Madrid considering to sell Gareth Bale this summer in order to fund a move for Monaco’s wonderkid Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe is the No. 1 target for the Galacticos in this transfer window, and they could break the world record transfer as Monaco set a £120 million price for the young Frenchman. Bale, who attracts Manchester United’s interest for quite some time now, could be shipped away from Santiago Bernabeu and Real are hoping to get £100 million for the Welsh international.

Man United has already tried to do business with the Champions League winners, but Alvaro Morata’s proposed move collapsed, as the Red Devils weren’t prepared to pay £80 million for the former Juventus’ forward. Bale could be interested in a move to Old Trafford, but the Red Devils would have to cough up something in the region of £350,000 a week for Gareth’s salary, the amount he’s currently getting at Santiago Bernabeu.

Only two teams who could compete with United regarding financial power are Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea. Bale still has a running contract that will run out in 2021 and the player who turns 28 today is happy to stay in Madrid.

Bale experienced an injury-plagued last season as he appeared in only 27 matches in all competitions, scoring nine goals and adding five assists. Zinedine Zidane didn’t include him in the starting lineup in the Champions League finals against Juventus as manager opted for Isco instead of the Welshman.
