There can be no greater compliment for a United midfielder than having Bryan Robson waxing lyrical about your performances and your ability. Morgan Schneiderlin can feel pretty good about joining the Reds after former skipper Robson claimed he’s been impressed with the Frenchman since he arrived at the club from Southampton.
In a Q&A with United fans, Robbo noted:
“Bastian Schweinsteiger looks like a really top player,”
“With his career and the way he is, he is absolutely quality. But the one who has really stood out for me in the first two games is Morgan Schneiderlin.
“He has really impressed me in the way he moves, the ways that he presses people all around the pitch and his range of passes is also really good. He always wants the ball, he is regularly dropping in between the two centre-backs, and I’ve been really impressed by him.
Not many Reds would argue with Robson, after all the man ruled Old Trafford and anyone who came there for more than a decade. Some may claim Roy Keane was better but having seen them both in their pomp, I’d give Robbo the edge- just. Praise from a man who knows exactly what it takes to make it in United’s midfield is the perfect start for Schneiderlin, let’s hope it stays that way.
Me being 56…being a belgian Utd fan all my life..;from the transitor radio to the spot-on social media nowadays…apart from CR7 and Messi…are there not high quality players enough at Old Trafford…Give Pereira his play-time….a real diamond…Memphis..believe it, I saw him last year play in the Dutch League..this guy has class, speed, goal-awareness and has the guts and dedication to wear the famous 7-shirt…What about Januzay…With the fine experienced surrounding and patience…we will not need to bring in those so called stars..I know this is the Premier League…but before running everyone has to learn to walk..and we will fly.
