The situation in the transfer market is going to be very intriguing because of the ongoing pandemic. The clubs have suffered losses and the valuation of the players should come down.

Manchester United were fifth in the table before the suspension of the game and they need Champions League qualification to attract the best players in the summer.

If the Red Devils do not strengthen their squad adequately then they can forget about challenging for the league title next season.

Transfer: Man Utd ready to make concrete offer to sign star with £87million clause – Face competition

As far as the transfers are concerned, the Old Trafford outfit have been linked with Moussa Dembele for a long time and the latest reports suggest that the player even wants to secure a move to Man United.

According to an exclusive story covered by The Star, Chelsea are interested in signing the French forward from Lyon but the player himself prefers to sign for the Red Devils.

Back in March, The Sun revealed that Lyon value their superstar striker at £90million. The value should change in my view, especially taking into consideration that the Ligue 1 side will not take part in any European competition next season. This will be the first time since 1997 that Lyon would only take part in domestic tournaments.

As per The Star, the 20-time English champions are confident that they will be able to secure the signing for £60million.

Dembele was in top form for the French club this season but unfortunately, the campaign had to be ended in the middle due to the coronavirus pandemic. The former Championship forward directly contributed in 29 goals in all competitions.

The 23-year-old has never player in the top flight of English football but he gained experience in the country with Fulham in the Championship. Furthermore, he proved to be brilliant for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

Our strike-force badly lacks quality and depth. Lukaku was a proven quality out and out center forward, who was sold and not replaced last summer. We desperately need a player who would be able to score at least 20 goals in the Premier League, or else, the fans can forget about challenging the likes of Liverpool and Man City for the title

Do you think Moussa Dembele has the quality to largely amplify the quality of our striking department?
