According to reports going on in the media, Manchester United are interested in hiring the services of a highly rated Italian winger.

According to Tutto Sport (via Sport Witness), Man United are chasing the signature of Federico Chiesa but the Red Devils face competition from Juventus.

Transfer: Man Utd ready to offer terms to sign £80million star – Report

The 22-year-old’s current contract with the Viola will expire in 2022 and the Italian source have claimed that he is valued at around 70 million euros (£61million).

Chiesa is a versatile talent, who can effectively play on either flank and even as an out and out center forward.

In the last campaign, the youngster mostly played on the right flank, scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists in 37 Serie A outings.

As far as this season is concerned, Lachini has mainly utilized the Azzurri attacker in the striker’s position. So far, in 24 starts (all competitions), the 17-capped international has directly contributed in 12 goals (7 goals and 5 assists) for Fiorentina.

In the winter transfer window, Man United splashed the cash to sign Bruno Fernandes and the Portuguese playmaker has proved to be an instant hit at Old Trafford. In 5 starts thus far, the former Sporting CP attacking midfielder has directly contributed in as many goals (3 goals and 2 assists) for the 20-time English champions.

The Red Devils still have not replaced Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku as yet and they need to reinforce the offense in the summer transfer window. In your view, should Solskjaer spend £61million to sign a versatile attacker like Federico Chiesa?
